All About YoYoga

Yoyoga create fun safe spaces to promote building confidence in your body and space in your mind.

We also aim to develop connection and community through practice.

Yoyoga understand that everybody has their own struggles, good days and bad, and we strive to be really inclusive.

Yoyoga also aim to help yoga practitioners to stretch their bodies and their minds to see what benefits yoga might have for them.

Founder/Claire's Story:

I came to yoga because I needed to find a way out of my head and back into my body. It took me a little time to realise it but I can see now that it was this feeling of being more grounded that kept me coming back for more. I hadn’t yet been diagnosed with ADHD at the time but as soon as I started practising yoga I felt better in my head and more able to manage overwhelm. The fact that it also made me stronger and fitter were welcome bonuses.

Once I saw what yoga could do for me I wanted to teach it and share it with others. I now think that a connection to our bodies is the most important thing that you can teach. It can provide such a sound basis for developing other skills. I am now a fully certified childrens and teens yoga teacher. I have also completed my 200-hour Foundation course which was Hatha/Vinyasa inspired and have recently trained in Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra.

My 17 years experience as a school teacher has given me a good understanding of how kids and teens behave. I have lots of experience navigating larger group settings and dealing with emotional/behavioural issues that can arise. I also have a really strong sense of how each individual should be valued and emphasise this need to respect others. Whether Im dealing with kids, teens or adults I try to create a really calm and welcoming environment. I also love creating fun, interesting classes and courses.
